Katal­in Kauser is the Senior Vice Pres­i­dent of Trans­la­tion­al Biol­o­gy at Meta­geo­mi. Katal­in brings more than 30+ years of lead­er­ship expe­ri­ence in the biotech and phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal indus­tries, spe­cial­iz­ing in drug dis­cov­ery and pre­clin­i­cal devel­op­ment from tar­get iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and val­i­da­tion through reg­u­la­to­ry sub­mis­sion and ear­ly clin­i­cal development.

Katal­in’s expe­ri­ence spans mul­ti­ple ther­a­peu­tic areas — includ­ing hema­tol­ogy, car­dio­vas­cu­lar, pul­monary, and meta­bol­ic dis­eases — and modal­i­ties such as small mol­e­cules, bio­log­ics, gene ther­a­py, and med­ical devices. Pri­or to join­ing Metageno­mi, she held exec­u­tive and sci­en­tif­ic lead­er­ship posi­tions at Alu­cent Bio­med­ical, Glob­al Blood Ther­a­peu­tics, Bay­er, Boehringer Ingel­heim, and Berlex Biosciences.

Katal­in received her MD from Sem­mel­weis Med­ical Uni­ver­si­ty and her PhD and DSc from the Hun­gar­i­an Acad­e­my of Sci­ences in Budapest, Hungary.
