Most recent­ly, Dr. Irish served as Pres­i­dent and Chief Oper­at­ing Offi­cer of Metageno­mi, Inc. Pri­or to Metageno­mi, she served in exec­u­tive lead­er­ship roles launch­ing one of the first approved CAR‑T cell ther­a­py prod­ucts and scal­ing out cell ther­a­py oper­a­tions at Kite Phar­ma as Senior Vice Pres­i­dent, Glob­al Head of Man­u­fac­tur­ing, and Senior Vice Pres­i­dent of Sup­ply Chain.

Pri­or to Kite, Dr. Irish was Vice Pres­i­dent for bio­log­ics prod­uct devel­op­ment, sup­ply, and part­ner­ships at Sanofi. She also served in exec­u­tive lead­er­ship roles at Amgen in oncol­o­gy devel­op­ment, man­u­fac­tur­ing, and JAPAC region­al oper­a­tions, con­tribut­ing to the launch of many inno­v­a­tive med­i­cines dur­ing her 15-year tenure.

Dr. Irish holds a PhD in Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal Sci­ences from Chi­ba Uni­ver­si­ty in Japan, a BS in Chem­i­cal Engi­neer­ing from East Chi­na Uni­ver­si­ty of Sci­ence and Tech­nol­o­gy, and an MBA from the Ander­son School of Man­age­ment at UCLA.
